Outstanding movement and athletic jump made Ken a very exciting prospect from a young age, especially as he has a fantastic attitude and charming character. Since starting his eventing career in 2013 Ken took each step up the levels in his stride from numerous top placings at the lower levels to notable results at each international level on his assension up the competitive ladder.
Ken had a phenomenal 2018 season, really maturing and coming into his own when stepping up to 4* level. He finished the season by upgrading to CCI4*-L at Boekelo, where he really proved himself, giving outstanding performances in all three phases, delighting his syndicate of owners! In 2019 he came out and really consolidated this great result by posting a fast double clear around the tough CCI4*-S track at Belton Park to finish 7th, which was a great preparation for Bramham CCI4*-L mid-season. Ken had a brilliant run at Bramham to finish 11th, taking on the notoriously tough track in his stride!
After a holiday he then headed to Camphire to represent Italy in the Nations Cup where he finished 4th and also secured his selection for the European Championships! He held his own at Luhmuhlen and did us proud in all 3 phases, eventually coming 33rd after an unfortunate frangible pin penalty proved expensive in such a high class field. 4* competitions in early 2021 prepared him for the Olympic Games, representing the Italian team to achieve a good performance with a thrilling, fast clear XC to see him finish in 27th.
Ken bounced back in style in 2023 (after an injury time out in 2022) and his
season culminated in an 8th place in the CCI-S 4* at Millstreet with a speedy
double clear.
