Perfect in many ways, Sweep is one of Vittoria's favourite horses of all time! He was bred in Italy by San Giuseppe Breeding from jumping and eventing bloodlines. He was a very lucky accident when his sire got out one night!! As well as an adorably irresistable character and a very pretty face his qualities include exceptional paces, a jump so scopey it's hard to sit to, faultless compact conformation and natural gallop and stamina! Vittoria fell for him as a small fluffy 3yo and has slowly produced him since. He has won at pre-novice, novice and intermediate level, all of which set him up brilliantly to finish 8th in the British Young Horse 7yo championships, with an exciting double clear against a competitive field.
From 2016 he has been supported by the Sweep syndicate comprised of Lucy and Shaun Allison, Helen Bowler and Sam Sandberg. Sweep established himself at 3* level in 2016 with a great run in the CCI3*-S at Barbury International, and then finished the season with a brilliant 3rd place in the CCI3*-L in Strezgom, Poland.
Throughout 2017, Sweep delighted his owners by consolidating at 3* level with a fantastic 2nd place in the CCI3*-L in Tattersalls, Ireland! He stepped up to the next level with ease at the prestigious and hugely competitive Blenheim CCI4*-L class for 8/9 year olds, to finish 4th.
2018 saw Sweep continue to prove himself at 4* level with brilliant results against very competitive International fields which included a 6th place at Haras De Jardy. He came back from injury in 2020 with a good season, culminating in 2nd in the CCI4*L at Pratoni, Rome.
