"Jack" was started at BE100 level by James Avery in 2020 and then competed in 2021 with consistent performances and many placings through to Intermediate level by Holly Woodhead. He arrived with Vittoria at the beginning of the 2022 season and so began a beautiful friendship and outstanding partnership.
Vittoria quickly believed that Jack had the potential to be an exciting International team partner for the future and will be forever grateful to her incredible owners (above) who stepped in to support Vittoria in buying him. It is also a heartwarming part of Jack and Vittoria’s story that a group of amazing friends, new and old, backed the partnership by becoming members of ‘Team Jackpot ‘ by way of a crowd fund.
Jack has a very laid-back character, he loves people and performing to any audience and is best known to catch a fully laid down snoring snooze as often as he can. A real eye catcher in the dressage arena he has jumping ability in abundance, genuine, bold and careful.
In 2022 Vittoria and Jack developed their partnership at Intermediate level with very consistent performances and high placings and ended the season with a confident double clear in the CCI-S 3* at Bicton. This set up the pathway forward to 2023 where progression was planned to consolidate at CCI -3* and all being well, progress to CCI-S 4.
The 2023 season proved Jack to be everything everyone dreamed he could be at this stage of his career. He delivered tremendous results all season, which culminated in 8th place in the CCI-S 4 8/9YO at Blenheim Palace International. On the way to Blenheim, Jack placed 4th & 6th in his two CCI-S 3* runs and was 2nd at Millstreet in his first CCI-L 3*.
