Jig came to us over the winter of 2019/2020 to be kept entertained on the hunting field while his owner was injured. He is a lovely character and very easy to do at home despite the odd quirk when getting on, and totally loves his hunting, cross country and jumping! We are delighted that Dido is now enjoying watching Jig event with us so he stayed on and has evented up to 2* and Intermediate Novice level! His confidence grew with every outing and it is obvious how much he is loving his job on the cross country course.
2022 has marked his most successful season with many top 3 placings in Intermediate Novice classes including Farley and Barbury building towards a 4th place in the 3*L at Blair Castle where he ate up the hills on the cross country and posted a personal beat dressage mark.
Jig has continued his incredible progression throughout 2023 culminating in a 4th
place in the CCI-S 3* at South of England International. Barely out the placings in
2023, winning the IN at Farley Hall, 5th and 3rd in the OI at Burgham and Upton and
11th in the OI at Cornbury International. An unfortunate hunt scurry class ( with
many hounds!) very understandably proved just too distracting at Wellington CCI-
S 3* as Jig went into the next door ring to SJ, but he was soon back in brilliant
form in the second of his CCI-S 3* at South of England.
